  • We aim to be as authentic and honest as possible about both the potential and barriers of working as a music therapist. Our approach is about acknowledging both the limitations and biases passed down through education and advocacy in our profession. While we promote building confidence and supporting the creativity of music therapists, we hope to balance this with the realities of the work and the importance of each clinician’s personal identity outside of their work.

  • A range of services to support your personal and professional growth. Our community includes:

    1. Monthly 1 hour group supervision with 2-3 participants

    2. Contemporary topics explored through diverse resources including but not limited to:

    • PowerPoints

    • Recorded talks/lectures

    • Curated articles

    • Curated media (e.g., YouTube, podcasts, etc.)

    • Discussion boards/jam boards

    3. Community forum for all participants to post topics and respond

  • Yes! You will be invited to engage in monthly, small group supervision sessions facilitated by an experienced MT-BC. Supervisors will foster constructive communication and safety while building professional peer relationships. As the community grows, groups may be organized based on areas of clinical focus, professional development, or member directed topics. Supervisors will remain available on discussion boards to provide assistance with any issues that emerge between meetings.

  • The community is moderated and founded by two white clinicians. We have been trained as music therapists within numerous oppressive systems. As part of our process in creating this community, we work to acknowledge, monitor, and hold accountable our actions that are harmful for clients and professional music therapists. Part of acknowledging our bias is inviting those who decided to join the community to be open to engaging in the discomfort that is necessary for change.

  • Group Supervision (per person): $30 per month or $300 for the year

    Individual Supervision (per person): $60 per month or $600 for the year

    Group Supervision (group of 3-5 people): $100 per month or $1000 for the year

    Intern access to modules and slack: $10 per month

  • Written agreements will be completed by supervisors and supervisees to clarify what is appropriate and not appropriate in regards to sharing or capturing client or supervisee.
